Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website or use a web-based application. They are widely used to make websites and applications work, or work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site or application owner.
This Cookie Policy explains how I Left You A Note Ltd ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies across our two distinct digital surfaces:
These two surfaces have fundamentally different cookie profiles, which are explained separately below.
We take a minimal, privacy-first approach to cookies on the App Platform. The App Platform is used by hotel guests (via the Guest Portal, accessed by QR code or link) and by hotel staff (via the hotel dashboard and Staff App). We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies on the App Platform.
The App Platform uses the following cookies, all of which are strictly necessary or functionally essential to operate the Service:
Note: Bubble platform cookie names include a numeric identifier (shown as [id] above) specific to the application instance. Names and number of session cookie variants may change following platform updates.
All cookies on the App Platform are either strictly necessary for the operation of the Service or functionally essential to provide security and session continuity. Under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive and applicable Irish and EU law, strictly necessary and essential functional cookies are exempt from the consent requirement.
We do not use these cookies to track guests across other websites, build advertising profiles, or serve targeted advertising.
The following third-party services and their associated cookies are explicitly not used on the App Platform:
Our marketing website uses analytics and marketing cookies to help us understand how visitors engage with our content and to support our B2B marketing activity targeting hotel decision-makers. These cookies are not strictly necessary and are only activated with your consent, which is requested via a cookie consent banner on your first visit.
You can change your cookie preferences at any time using the cookie settings link in the website footer.
Note: Cookie names, purposes, and durations are subject to change by the respective third-party providers. This table reflects our best current knowledge and is reviewed periodically.
When you first visit www.ileftyouanote.com, a cookie consent banner will request your preferences. You can:
You can update your preferences at any time via the cookie settings link in the website footer. Withdrawing consent will prevent non-essential cookies from being set on future visits but will not remove cookies already placed during previous sessions.
You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, block, and delete cookies. Please note that blocking essential cookies may affect the functionality of the App Platform, including the digital concierge.
The I Left You A Note Staff App (available for Android, with iOS forthcoming) is a native mobile application and does not use browser cookies. The app uses secure token-based authentication and standard mobile session management to maintain the logged-in state for Authorised Users. No advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs are included in the Staff App.
We may update this Cookie Policy periodically to reflect changes in the cookies we use, changes in applicable law, or changes to our platform and marketing activity. The latest version will always be available at www.ileftyouanote.com/cookie-policy.
Where changes are material, we will update the effective date at the top of this document. Hotel subscribers will be notified of significant changes directly.
